Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare Inc. in Georgia is seeking a Patient Access Support specialist to help ensure accurate patient accounts, insurance data, and billing readiness within the Patient Access Department. This role is based in Watkinsville, GA, and supports a patient-centered service model.

You will verify coverage, collect patient payments, obtain consents, and support a smooth revenue cycle. Experience in healthcare revenue cycle or related clerical roles is preferred; Epic experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• 1 year of experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle, or clinical role, or related clerical accounting/finance/retail/customer service.
• 3 years of healthcare Revenue Cycle experience preferred.
• Prior Epic experience preferred.
• Certification with Healthcare Financial Management Association preferred or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as patient facing support for the Patient Access Department within Piedmont Healthcare.
• Ensures patient accounts are complete with valid insurance coverage and current demographic/clinical data.
• Calculates patient financial responsibility, presents patient financial options/requirements and processes patient payments.
• Secures patient consent and acknowledgement on required forms/notices.
