Job summary

R1 RCM seeks a Patient Service Representative (Registration) to join our on-site teams at Intermountain American Fork and Saratoga Springs Hospitals. You will be the first contact for patients, handling check-in, phone inquiries, and data collection to ensure fast, accurate access to care.

Work alongside nurses and care teams to minimize delays, navigate insurance details, collect co-pays, and provide clear cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service experience and communication skills.
• Professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize with high attention to detail.
• Experience with patient access, medical registration, insurance verification, or front desk is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and assist patients and families with the check-in process across multiple computer systems to register patients efficiently.
• Answer phones and gather accurate patient information quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Support timely access to care by minimizing delays in registration and answer questions with confidence, clarity, and compassion.
• Build trust with patients during moments when they may be ill, anxious, confused, or overwhelmed.
• Navigate diverse insurance plans and coverage details, enter demographics and medical data, collect co-pays and provide cost estimates when applicable.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and care teams to ensure smooth patient flow.
