Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is hiring a Patient Access Specialist for Mercy - Defiance Hospital in Defiance, OH. This onsite role covers patient pre-registration, insurance verification, and POS collections during a 7pm–7:30am shift, two days per week with every third weekend.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of customer service experience, strong communication, and a willingness to learn including AI-enabled process improvements.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Willing to learn and adapt, including AI-enabled processes.
• Must meet regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform admitting duties for patients.
• Collect insurance information and complete demographic data.
• Explain consent forms and provide patient education materials.
• Utilize verification systems to support POS and billing processes.
