Job summary

Franciscan Health Lafayette East Campus is seeking a Patient Access Rep I. This part-time role handles preregistration, registration, financial counseling, and co-pay collections, working with clinical and revenue cycle teams to keep patient flow smooth.

Evening or midnight shifts are available, with rotating weekends and holidays. You will collect demographics and billing data, ensure HIPAA compliance, and communicate clearly with patients about responsibilities for copayments and balances.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collect demographics and financial data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patient and family to obtain registration information and enters data without duplicating records.
• Enter insurance policy numbers, group numbers, addresses, and billing data.
• Counsel patients on copayments, prepayments and outstanding balances.
• Identify patient liabilities and collect co-payments and other payments when possible.
• Complete preregistration and registration to maintain patient flow.
