Job summary

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a medical office setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients or representatives to obtain identifying information and demographics for upcoming visits.
• Schedule patients in clinics and assist with scheduling in other clinics.
• Schedule patients for radiology appointments as requested by providers.
• Process referrals and schedule patients accordingly.
• Verify insurance coverage, collect co-pays and prior balances, reconcile and prepare deposits.
• Greet and check in patients and handle incoming calls and route or message to staff.
• Coordinate clinic business processes (supply ordering, record release, mail processing).
• Operate a computer to input/retrieve data and communicate with patients, staff, and providers.
