Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is hiring for a part‑time, on‑site patient access support role at Mercy‑Defiance Hospital in Defiance, OH. The position emphasizes accuracy in data capture, compliance checks, and strong customer service to support POS collections.

Responsibilities include MRN assignments, insurance data collection, and use of overlay tools while maintaining high Press Ganey scores and compassionate service. Two days per week shifts and an attractive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire (company-paid).
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assign MRNs accurately and complete medical necessity/compliance checks.
• Collect insurance information and process physician orders.
• Utilize overlay tools and maintain excellent customer service as measured by Press Ganey.
• Operate telephone switchboard for incoming, outgoing, and inter‑office calls.
• Adhere to policies with compassion and excellent customer service.
• Meet point‑of‑service goals and audit accounts for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform pre‑registration of patient accounts, including demographic and insurance data collection.
• Explain general consent for treatment forms, obtain signatures, and distribute patient education documents.
• Verify insurance eligibility, select applicable insurance plan code, and enter benefit data to support POS collections and billing.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software, inform Medicare patients, and distribute ABN forms as appropriate.

Onsite at Mercy‑Defiance Hospital, Defiance, OH. Part‑time, 2 days per week with varied shifts.

Compensation

Hourly pay range: $17.00 – $18.15, based on experience.
