Job summary

Qualifications

• Courteous, empathetic, and professional interaction with patients and staff.
• Accurate collecting and entering demographic, guarantor, and insurance data.
• Explain payment options and refer to Financial Counselor when needed.

Responsibilities

• Interview and register patients in a courteous, professional manner.
• Enter complete patient demographic, guarantor, and insurance information correctly.
• Ensure forms are signed and authorized; verify insurance and assign payor codes for billing.
• Place patients appropriately (ER, inpatient, outpatient) and update accounts for changes.
• Accurately document physicians in the hospital system during registration.
• Monitor patient wait times and maintain smooth patient flow.
