Job summary

St. Luke’s in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Patient Access Specialist 4 lead to ensure smooth registration, scheduling and patient coordination.

You will act as a subject-matter expert, mentor teammates and deliver an exceptional patient experience across registration, scheduling, referrals, and insurance verification. Responsibilities include assisting patients with financial options, preauthorizations, and using clinical and billing systems to support department workflows, while modeling quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years relevant experience.
• Strong customer service and accuracy in handling patient needs.
• Ability to work with multiple systems for scheduling, verification, and preauthorization.

Job description

The Patient Access Specialist 4 is responsible for responding to patient, provider, and department/service area needs with a high emphasis on customer service and accuracy. This includes, but is not limited to, registration, complex scheduling, referral coordination, benefit verification, preauthorization, order transcription and general inquiries from patients, providers and the general public. This subject matter expert is also responsible to serve as a role model and resource to coworkers.

We're looking for a Lead who wants to make a difference for both patients and teammates. This role helps foster a positive, supportive culture where people feel connected, engaged and motivated to deliver an exceptional patient experience.
