Inova Health in Northern Virginia is seeking a dedicated patient access specialist for a full-time, hybrid role. Monday through Friday schedule.

You will handle patient intake, registration, and documentation across multiple systems and collaborate with care teams to ensure smooth patient flow. The ideal candidate will have a High School or GED and a passion for delivering excellent service, including financial counseling and coordination with insurance to determine coverage and potential

• Patient Intake, Registration & Documentation: Manage complex cases, resolve errors, confirm authorizations, validate and index documents.
• Administrative & Technology Operations: Prepare schedules, track records, and navigate multiple systems.
• Case Management Tasks: Coordinate documentation and follow up on case-related tasks.
• Financial Counseling: Assess coverage and initiate financial assistance.
• Insurance & Contract Coordination: Apply payer rules, resolve issues, identify contract limitations.
• Inquiries & Patient Concerns: Resolve moderate concerns and track follow-ups with patients.
• Kiosk: Educate patients and report usage trends.
• Patient Communication & Advocacy: Coordinate with departments and tailor messaging for patients.
