Position Summary:

The Patient Access Specialist interviews patients or family members to obtain demographic and financial information, explains consents, distributes patient education materials, obtains signatures, and addresses questions from patients or families.

Training and Continued Education:

Opportunities for further education and training are available.

Minimum Education:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in Administrative Support Technology, Business, or Office Technology preferred.
• Medical terminology experience recommended.
• Proficiency in software programs.
• Excellent customer service and telephone skills required.
