Job summary

U.S. Urology Partners is seeking a Patient Access Representative to greet patients and visitors, manage check-in/out, and answer incoming calls regarding appointments and inquiries. The role requires attention to chart accuracy and updating insurance information for physicians. Travel to other clinics may be required.

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, experience in medical settings, and familiarity with EMR systems, with a focus on professionalism and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in a medical practice or health insurance organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Interact professionally with patients, colleagues, managers and executive team.
• Prior use of EMR systems preferred.
• Willingness to travel to other clinics.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner.
• Effectively handle the patient check-in/checkout process.
• Answer calls addressing appointment times, patient requests and general inquiries.
• Review patient’s chart for accuracy prior to upcoming appointment and ensure all required information is included.
• Perform scanning and sorting within EMR system.
• Verify and update current insurance information with the Patient.
• Collect patient payments.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
