Job summary

Children's Health in Dallas is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to handle routine admissions, registration, eligibility verification, and patient payments for ancillary, diagnostic, surgical, and emergency services. This on-site role supports efficient operations and patient satisfaction.

You'll join a weekday schedule 9:15 AM to 5:45 PM in Admitting, bringing at least 1 year of healthcare experience, a high school diploma, and (preferably) NAHAM CHAA certification to ensure accurate

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of healthcare or patient access experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• NAHAM CHAA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform registration, including verifying demographics, processing point of service payments and obtaining consents
• Complete coverage eligibility, insurance verification, patient portion calculation and authorization activity
• Resolve routine patient issues and assist with reimbursement questions
• Comply with performance standards, regulations, policies and third party contracts

Job description

The Patient Access Specialist is responsible for routine patient access activity for ancillary, diagnostic, surgical and emergency services to facilitate efficient operations, expeditious reimbursement and optimal customer and employee satisfaction.

Department: Admitting. Shift: Monday through Friday, 9:15 AM to 5:45 PM. Job type: On-site.
