Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking a Patient Access Associate in Central Scheduling & Financial Clearance. You will connect with patients before their visit, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and helping them understand financial expectations to ensure smoother visits and a better experience for patients and care teams.

You will act as a link between patients, providers, and payers, delivering clarity, accuracy, and empathy in every interaction.

Qualifications

Strong customer service and communication skills.
Attention to detail and comfort working with insurance and financial data.
Ability to explain complex information in a clear, patient-friendly way.

Responsibilities

Schedule and coordinate patient appointments across clinic and hospital services.
Verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations as needed.
Review and confirm demographic and financial information.
Explain financial responsibility, estimates, and payment options.
Assist patients with financial assistance or referrals when appropriate.
Communicate with clinical teams to ensure visits are financially cleared.
