Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with medical office terminology preferred.
• Proficient with standard office software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Receives and directs calls from patients and physician offices.
• Schedules patients for treatment by multiple providers and tests.
• Prioritizes appointments to optimize patient care and use of staff and facilities.
• Handles urgent patient care calls and may alert providers to emergent symptoms.
• Schedules urgent care appointments as needed.
• Greets patients for scheduled or urgent appointments.
• Verifies patient demographics and insurance information.
• Collects co-payments when applicable.
• Obtains signatures for treatment authorization and billing information.
• Obtains prior authorizations from insurers as needed.
• Ensures pre-authorization, pre-certification, and referrals are obtained.
• Verifies eligibility for procedures or tests.
