Job summary

Fulton County Health Center is seeking a motivated Pre-Service Center Specialist to join our Finance team. This role focuses on pre-registering and scheduling tests or procedures, verifying insurance, and completing pre-registration at least 10 days before service date.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Terminology coursework preferred.
• 6+ months in a medical office; 1 year experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, and Meditech Expanse modules.
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Contact patients by phone to pre-register and schedule tests or procedures.
• Verify insurance coverage and benefits per financial clearance policies.
• Complete pre-registration and scheduling at least 10 days before service.
• Screen patients for financial clearance eligibility and address questions.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and compassionate attitude with patients and representatives.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate scheduling and data entry.
• Handle patient information with strict confidentiality and attention to detail.
