Responsibilities

• Register patients and gather demographic, insurance and financial information.
• Schedule appointments and perform order entry and reception duties.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations within required time frames.
• Explain and obtain signatures on admission and financial forms; collect co-pays.
• Assist in reducing accounts receivable per department guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and Joint Commission standards.
