Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months of admitting, medical claims processing, or customer service with financial interaction; one year preferred.
• Proficient with Windows OS and health-care software (SMS InVision, SMS IMS).
• Strong communication, accuracy in data entry and confidentiality (HIPAA).

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect demographic, clinical and financial information.
• Explain and obtain signatures on admission and financial forms.
• Schedule admissions and manage order entry and reception tasks.
• Verify insurance eligibility and identify payer sources.
