Job summary

The Jewish Renaissance Foundation is seeking a dedicated on-site Patient Registrar at the JRF‑CHC in Edison, NJ. You will manage patient registrations, schedule medical, dental, and behavioral health visits, verify insurance, collect co-payments, and maintain strict HIPAA confidentiality.

You will liaise with billing and front desk operations to ensure smooth patient flow. Hours are Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–4:30 PM with occasional Thursday evenings and Saturday shifts as needed, supporting the

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Experience in a public health care or community clinic setting preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, preferably eCW, is a plus.
• Spanish-language ability preferred to assist diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a prompt, pleasant, and helpful manner.
• Schedule all patient appointments using the EMR system.
• Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of patient and insurance data in the EMR.
• Update provider schedules and answer inquiries about billing and services.
• Obtain signatures on consent and insurance forms; verify coverage.
• Handle daily cash collections and uncompensated care logs.
• Attend required trainings and mandatory meetings; meet deadlines.
