Job summary

The Jewish Renaissance Foundation is seeking a Patient Registrar for the on-site JRF-CHC in Edison, NJ. The role focuses on patient registration, scheduling across medical, dental, and behavioral health services, and ensuring accurate insurance and co-pay information within the EMR system.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, collecting demographic data, verifying insurance, processing payments, and maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA and related regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 1–2 years related experience
• Experience in patient registration in public health care/clinic preferred
• Familiarity with EMR systems, preferably eCW
• Billing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly and helpfully.
• Schedule all patient appointments using the health center's EMR system.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all patient records.
• Maintain and update provider schedules and patient charts.
• Verify insurance and collect co-payments as required.
• Handle daily cash collections and assist with related billing tasks.
