Qualifications

• 2+ years of Patient Access/Registration or Scheduling experience required
• Medical terminology is required
• Must type accurately 30 WPM
• EPIC experience a plus
• Ability to work in a call center–like environment with periodic phone interactions
• Must be able to work on-site in Plymouth, MA

Responsibilities

• Verify complete orders and select the correct procedure or test based on physician orders
• Verify insurance eligibility and medical necessity; obtain referrals and authorizations and verify demographics
• Answer patient calls to schedule or reschedule appointments and inform patients of co-payment responsibilities
• Provide exam preparation instructions and ensure all instructions and information are communicated clearly
• Collaborate with scheduling departments and physician offices to coordinate patient care
• Perform clerical duties under the Central Scheduling Supervisor
