Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate’s degree preferred.
• Two years’ experience in a medical/physicians office setting and/or experience with insurance benefits preferred.
• Computer proficiency required; Microsoft Office applications preferred with ability to learn new software.
• Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with diverse population.
• Work independently, be self-directed and contribute as a member of a team.
• Anticipates challenges and develops and implements strategies for addressing them.
• High level of service delivery; prioritize work, meet deadlines and adapt to changing situations.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Answering phones, assisting customers, and fulfilling cross-trained responsibilities.
• Orient patients to the center and coordinate additional patient services as needed.
• Scheduling, registration, insurance verification per center standards.
• Greet patients and notify appropriate staff of arrival; perform administrative duties."
• Maintain medical records and discharge per center guidelines; monthly patient satisfaction questionnaires.
• Process insurance approvals and documentation in medical records and computer system.
• Enter and reconcile therapy charges as assigned.
• Support department, organization, or network activities per objectives.
