Job summary

TRA Medical Imaging is seeking a Registration Specialist to greet patients and clients in a friendly, professional manner at the Bonney Lake location. You will register patients, collect account payments, verify demographics and insurance, and support the team in a busy radiology reception.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, basic clerical experience, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining HIPAA compliance and accurate record keeping in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency required.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Knowledge of radiology procedures including Mammography, Bone Densitometry, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, NM, FL, PET, and IR.
• Working knowledge of CPT codes and the RIS system.
• Excellent verbal communication and professional phone etiquette.
• Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work well in a teamwork environment and adhere to HIPAA privacy policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients for radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and answering questions.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and demographics; ensure paperwork is complete for the specific modality.
• Collect account payments.
• Handle routine office administrative tasks including word processing and organizing referrals.
• Scan documents and navigate the RIS system.
• Check work email daily.
• Follow HIPAA privacy and security policies.
