Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Scheduling Clerk to facilitate patient registration and appointment scheduling across outpatient services at the Riverview, Florida facility. This role emphasizes accurate data capture, timely communication with departments, and efficient workload prioritization.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with 1+ year experience in a medical setting preferred. Basic office skills and CPR certification are beneficial assets for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year in medical setting with coding, charge entry and payment collection preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the registration and scheduling process for patients.
• Communicates with registration and ancillary departments to ensure accurate capture and throughput of outpatient appointments.
• Schedules patient appointments for ancillary departments and documents necessary information.
• Notifies physician offices of possible non-covered appointments and facilitates precertification delivery.
• Maintains clerical records and files supporting scheduling processes; attends staff meetings and participates in team discussions.
