Firelands Health in Sandusky is seeking a friendly front desk/medical receptionist to greet patients, manage calls, schedule appointments and verify insurance information. You will assist with billing tasks and help maintain a welcoming waiting area.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, CPR certification, ambulatory care experience, and proficiency with Outlook, Excel and Word. This on-site role includes benefits and a $1,500 retention bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational education preferred.
• Experience in a medical ambulatory setting is a plus.
• Current CPR certification or obtained within 3 months of employment and maintained.
• Proficient with PCs and able to type, with strong keyboard skills.
• Proficiency using Outlook, Excel and Word is desired.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients, vendors and visitors and notify staff of arrivals.
• Answer phones, route calls and direct inquiries per clinic guidelines.
• Schedule patient appointments and verify insurance coverage.
• Collect co-pays, post payments and assist with billing activities.
• Obtain prior authorizations when needed and manage referrals in the EMR.
• Maintain waiting area, organize materials and support practice operations.
