Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to support the organization’s revenue cycle by collecting and inputting insurance information, scheduling, pre-certification, pre-registration, and patient registration for appointments and procedures.

This position requires excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills to verify demographics, eligibility, and benefits, communicate estimates and payment options, and resolve denials while maintaining HIPAA

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of payer processes and health system workflows.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, pre-certify, and pre-register patients for appointments and procedures.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance eligibility, and benefits.
• Inform patients about preparation and instructions for tests.
• Inform patients of appointment location, date, and time.
• Communicate financial policies, estimates, charity plans, and payment options to patients.
