Job summary

AdventHealth in Tarpon Springs, FL seeks a Patient Access/Revenue Cycle Specialist to manage clinical partner communications, verify insurance, obtain pre-authorizations, register patients, and ensure accurate demographics for services.

You will perform Medicare checks, assist with upfront cash collections, support audits, mentor staff, and coordinate with case management to ensure patients have the information they need to receive care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred and high school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year in customer service.
• 1+ year revenue cycle experience.
• 2+ direct patient access experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Medicare compliance and payer processes.

Responsibilities

• Manages relationships with clinical partners and ensures open communication between clinical, ancillary, and consumer access departments.
• Provides on-call support and verifies insurance eligibility and benefits before appointments.
• Registers patients, obtaining demographics and required information.
• Performs Medicare checks and Medicare Secondary Payer questionnaires.
• Creates estimates to maximize upfront cash collections and advises patients on costs.
• Assists with audits, staff mentoring, training, and scheduling; coordinates with case management.
