Job summary

Englewood Health in Englewood, NJ is seeking a Patient Access Representative for evening shifts. Under general supervision, you will interview patients or representatives to collect required personal, demographic and financial information and identification, and perform data entry in the registration system.

This part-time role works 3 PM–11 PM on weekends alternating Saturdays and Sundays, plus four holidays.

Qualifications

• 1+ year registration or clerical/healthcare experience preferred.
• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred; otherwise 5 years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients or representatives to collect personal, demographic and financial information and ID.
• Perform data entry and record-keeping for patient registration.
• Maintain Service Excellence standards in all interactions.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, and according to well defined policies and procedures, interviews patients and/or patients' representatives to obtain necessary personal, demographic and financial information and identification. Performs computer data entry and other record keeping tasks related to the patients’ registration within the registration areas. Exhibits Service Excellence Standards at all times, and incorporates into all interactions.

Department: Patient Access Services Location: Englewood, NJ Status: Part-time 2 (no benefits) Shift: 8 hour evenings Hours: 3p-11p every other Sat and Sun, plus 4 holidays

Job Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with professional appearance
• Ability to function independently
• Clerical, data entry and typing skills including filing and record keeping
• One or more years of registration or related clerical/health care experience is preferred when accompanied with HS Diploma or equivalent
• Some knowledge of computer systems
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment that has frequent changes in priorities
• Flexibility and ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail
• Ability to complete needed tasks with speed and accuracy

Education Requirements

• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred. In the absence of such, a minimum of 5 years related experience required
