Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Fort Worth is seeking a Patient Access Representative for PRN shifts to welcome patients, collect demographics, verify insurance, and register for Mobile Health visits.

You will maintain HIPAA compliance, support customers with questions, and participate in quality improvements while adapting to schedule changes.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • 1 year of customer service experience (required).
  • CHAA – Certified Healthcare Access Associate (Upon Hire Preferred).
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (required within 90 days).

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and visitors in person and over the phone using professional, compassionate communication that includes greeting, introduction, clear explanation of processes, expected timeframes, and gratitude.
  • Accurately identify and register patients for Mobile Health visits, ensuring complete and compliant documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Collect and verify demographic, medical, and insurance information, ensuring all required forms and consents are obtained and uploaded appropriately.
  • Verify insurance coverage and eligibility, obtain necessary authorizations, and communicate coverage details or out-of-network implications to patients.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by proactively addressing patient needs, concerns, and questions throughout the registration process.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and departmental privacy standards at all times.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Demonstrate consistent reliability, punctuality, and readiness to adapt to site and schedule changes.
