The role involves day/evening shifts, 20 hours per week under PT20Plus HPW terms, with SEIU 1199 union representation. CNA/MA/EMT background is preferred to ensure seamless patient care.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • AHA BLS Healthcare Provider.
  • CNA/MA/EMT certification preferred.
  • One year nursing assistant or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administrative/clerical duties alongside clinical MA/CNA responsibilities.
  • Facilitate patient flow and support department operations.
  • Collaborate with nursing and clerical teammates to ensure smooth MICU workflow.

The Medical Intensive Care Unit provides interdisciplinary care for patients with a variety of serious medical conditions in a technologically advanced environment. MICU is a closed unit run by pulmonary/critical care specialist physicians and patients are frequently on ventilators, and vasopressor support. We have 6 Critical Care Intensivists: A resident team, each led by an attending who specializes in Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine. Daily multidisciplinary rounds at bedside to discuss patients' plans of care.


The Patient Access Representative II (PAR II) position consists of both administrative/clerical functions in addition to the clinical responsibilities of the medical assistant/CNA. PAR IIs are essential members of the team. They provide the department the flexibility of meeting both clinical and administrative needs, while contributing to the smooth operation by facilitating patient flow.


Qualifications


  • High School Diploma

  • AHA BLS Healthcare Provider


Secretary/Clerical Experience Required


  • One year of previous experience as a nursing assistantOR Currently enrolled in a nursing program and have completed two cycles of clinical rotationOR Completion of an approved certified nursing assistant training programOR equivalent experience as determined by the CNO or designee


CNA/MA/EMT certification preferred
