Job summary

Cambridge Health Alliance's CHA PACE program is seeking a Patient Access Representative II to provide clerical and clinical support in the geriatric PACE clinic. This role will help ensure seamless, high-quality care for our participants.

The position supports providers with vital signs and phlebotomy, coordinates patient flow, and delivers excellent customer service to participants and their families. Strong communication and documentation are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • American Heart Association BLS Provider certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clerical and clinical support to PACE clinic providers.
  • Perform medical assistant duties, including vital signs and phlebotomy.
  • Explain clinic routines and clinical procedures to participants and family members.
  • Coordinate participant flow to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally via phone, in person, and in writing.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to participants, families, and team members.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and attention to detail.
  • Work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Position Overview

The Patient Access Representative II plays a vital dual role within the PACE clinic, providing both administrative/clerical support and clinical medical assistant responsibilities. This position works collaboratively with providers and interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless, high-quality coordinated care for our participants.

This role supports clinic operations by assisting providers, facilitating participant access, and delivering direct clinical services (including phlebotomy) to a diverse geriatric population with complex health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clerical and clinical support to PACE clinic providers
  • Perform medical assistant duties, including vital signs and phlebotomy

Qualifications

Education & Training:

  • High school diploma required
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program

Certifications:

  • American Heart Association BLS Provider certification

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year as a nursing assistant, orcurrently enrolled in a nursing program with completion of two clinical rotations
  • Minimum of 1 year of administrative experience in a clinical setting preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with the geriatric population

Language:

  • Bilingual Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred
