Job summary

Mammoth Hospital is seeking a Pediatrics Patient Access Representative to support the admission/registration process at the Bishop and Mammoth locations. You will handle appointment scheduling, patient registration, insurance verification, and at-surgery point-of-service collections, ensuring smooth revenue cycle operations.

The role requires excellent communication, strong customer service, and teamwork. Bilingual Spanish is strongly preferred, with prior hospital registration experience a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associates preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
• One year hospital registration/admitting experience preferred.
• Good telephone etiquette and teamwork.
• 10 key calculator experience preferred.
• Typing 30-45 WPM; MS Office and Outlook proficiency.
• Previous use of multi-line phones, fax and copy machines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Open/close clinic front desk per procedures.
• Greet patients courteously and timely.
• Answer multi-line phone; transfer calls as needed.
• Schedule patient appointments using computerized scheduling system.
• Enter/update patient information in hospital systems.
• Assemble patient charts with proper forms for visit.
• Identify, collect, and track patient liability (co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles).

Job description

The Pediatrics Patient Access Representative is responsible for professional and efficient operation of the admission/ registration process in one or more patient access areas. Performs a variety of patient access functions related to patient admission and discharge including: appointment scheduling, patient registration, insurance verification, and point of service collections. Demonstrates a basic understanding of the revenue cycle.

What You'll Do

• Open/close Clinic front desk according to current procedures.
• Greets all patients in a courteous and timely manner.
• Answers multi-line telephone; takes clear, detailed, and legible messages and transfers calls to appropriate department when necessary.
• Schedules patient appointments using computerized scheduling system.
• Enters and/or updates patient information in computerized hospital information systems.
• Assembles patient charts for clinic use; ensuring that the proper forms are on the chart according to particular visit type.
• Identifies, collects, and tracks patient liability owed; such as co-pays, co-insurance, share of cost and deductibles.

Job Information

• Full-time, varied day shifts.
• Will be expected to work from our Bishop and Mammoth locations.
• Starting wage $23.22 to $28.14 based on qualifications.
