Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Patient Access Representative to provide exceptional customer service and support patient registration, admissions, and front-office operations in Santa Rosa, CA. The role greets patients, verifies demographics and insurance, completes registrations, and explains forms to ensure a positive patient experience.

  • Experience using Epic or a similar electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Strong customer service and patient service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Register patients and accurately enter demographic information into the EMR.
  • Verify patient identity by collecting required information and reviewing photo identification.
  • Explain consent forms and admissions paperwork and obtain required signatures.
  • Determine patient payment responsibilities and identify individuals who may require financial assistance.
  • Verify insurance coverage and eligibility while ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Distribute and collect admissions and registration documents.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls, addressing patient questions and concerns.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient patient flow and a positive patient experience.
  • Perform additional administrative and front-desk duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify patient and visitor identity by collecting required information and reviewing photo identification.
  • Explain consent forms and admissions paperwork and obtain required signatures.
  • Determine patient payment responsibilities and identify individuals who may require financial assistance.
  • Verify insurance coverage and eligibility while ensuring accurate documentation.

  • Familiarity with admissions, registration, and front‑office workflows.
Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Santa Rosa, CA.

Pay Range

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
