TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Patient Access Representative with radiology/cardiology imaging scheduling expertise for a fully remote, contract position. You will coordinate imaging appointments, verify patient information, and support authorization needs across clinical teams.

The ideal candidate has Epic experience, strong knowledge of imaging workflows, and excels in high-volume environments while delivering excellent patient service.

Qualifications

• Experience in Patient Access, Medical Scheduling or Healthcare Registration.
• Radiology and/or Cardiology Imaging Scheduling experience.
• Epic experience is required.
• Knowledge of insurance eligibility, financial clearance, and authorization processes.
• Imaging scheduling protocols and healthcare workflows.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, confirm, modify, and coordinate Radiology and Cardiology imaging appointments according to patient needs and departmental guidelines.
• Provide patients with preparation instructions and ensure they are prepared for scheduled procedures.
• Coordinate with referring and ordering providers to ensure the appropriate services are scheduled.
• Obtain and update patient demographic, insurance, and financial information.
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements.
• Confirm required orders, authorizations, labs, medications, implant information, and other documentation are available prior to scheduled services.
• Ensure accurate patient identification, registration, and MRN assignment.
• Obtain outside medical records and supporting documentation when required.
• Handle inbound and outbound communications with patients and providers.
• Process patient and provider messages accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with clinicians, technologists, revenue cycle teams, and other departments to resolve scheduling and patient access needs.
• Maintain patient confidentiality while delivering excellent customer service.
• Meet established productivity, quality, accuracy, and patient satisfaction expectations.

About Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Patient Access Representative with a strong background in Radiology and/or Cardiology Imaging Scheduling to join a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment. This position is responsible for coordinating patient appointments, completing registration and insurance verification, supporting authorization requirements, and communicating with patients, providers, and clinical teams.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Epic experience and a strong understanding of imaging workflows, scheduling protocols, insurance requirements, and patient access processes. This role requires someone who can balance productivity and accuracy while providing an exceptional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule, confirm, modify, and coordinate Radiology and Cardiology imaging appointments according to patient needs and departmental guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in Patient Access, Medical Scheduling, or Healthcare Registration.
• Previous Radiology and/or Cardiology Imaging Scheduling experience.
• Epic experience is required.
• Knowledge of insurance eligibility, financial clearance, and authorization processes.
• Understanding of imaging scheduling protocols and healthcare workflows.
• Experience working in a high-volume call center or scheduling environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual communication skills, particularly Spanish or Punjabi.
• Experience supporting both patients and healthcare providers in a centralized scheduling environment.
