Job Overview

The Patient Access Representative plays a key role in providing excellent customer service, ensuring timely throughput, and capturing all necessary data. Responsibilities include greeting patients, treating all customers with respect, providing a safe environment, reviewing and obtaining signatures on forms, collecting and documenting demographic and insurance information, and utilizing technology for registration. The role also involves creating a positive environment for patient and colleague satisfaction and reporting safety issues.

Qualifications

Required: High School Diploma

Preferred: Customer service experience, Patient Access experience, knowledge of registration, billing regulations, state programs, medical terminology, and computer skills.

Scheduling Requirements

Full Time Day, rotating weekends and holidays.

Essential Functions

Responsible for collecting co-payments, issuing receipts, and reconciling daily cash within the department.
