Job Overview:

The Patient Access Representative plays a key role in providing excellent customer service, ensuring timely throughput, and capturing all necessary data. Responsibilities include greeting patients warmly, treating all customers with respect, providing a safe environment during registration, reviewing and obtaining signatures on forms, accurately collecting and documenting demographic and insurance information, and utilizing available technology for registration. The role also involves creating a positive environment for patient and colleague satisfaction and reporting safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.

Qualifications:

Required:

High School Diploma

Preferred:

  • Customer service experience
  • Patient Access experience
  • Knowledge of registration processes, billing regulations, and state programs like Charity Care
  • Medical terminology and computer skills
  • Ability to collect co-payments, issue receipts, and reconcile daily cash within the department

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Full Time Day shift with rotating weekends and holidays
