Frye Regional Medical Center, located in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina, is a 355-bed acute care hospital, an 81-bed Behavioral Health facility, and offers more than 70 primary and specialty care providers. The hospital employs more than 1500 professional and clinical staff.

How you'll contribute:

The Patient Access Representative facilitates the patient referral process and obtains appropriate pre-certifications as requested by the provider(s). They are responsible for greeting patients, check‑ins and check‑outs, scheduling and managing telephones and messages. They collect and post co‑pays, deductibles, and past‑due patient balances at the time of service.

A Patient Access Representative (PAR) who excels in this role:
  • Performs scheduling, registration, patient pre‑admission, and admission at the physician practice.
  • Performs reception and discharge functions.
  • Accurately obtains complete and accurate patient demographic information.
  • Performs proper, compliant patient liability collection techniques before, during, and after the date of service.

Qualifications and Requirements:
