The Patient Access Representative facilitates the patient referral process and obtains appropriate pre-certifications as requested by the provider(s). They are responsible for greeting patients, check‑ins and check‑outs, scheduling and managing telephones and messages. They collect and post co‑pays, deductibles, and past‑due patient balances at the time of service.
