As a Patient Access Representative, you play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of the healthcare environment, the delivery of quality patient care, and world-class customer service. Your responsibilities include greeting and assisting patients, managing appointments, maintaining accurate records, and providing essential administrative support. Additionally, you are responsible for obtaining authorizations and facilitating insurance-related processes to support healthcare service delivery.

What You’ll Need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a medical assistant certificate program preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience as a medical receptionist/administrative assistant in healthcare
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Availability to travel across JAG locations per company policy

What You’ll Do:

  • Greet patients and visitors
  • Answer questions and provide directions
  • Handle phone calls via the general office number
  • Use medical office software to schedule appointments
  • Register new patients and update records
  • Distribute and collect forms and paperwork
  • Collect patient financial responsibilities daily
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient records
  • Manage insurance verifications, authorizations, and referrals
  • Handle Workers’ Compensation and Auto claim submissions
  • Perform other duties as required
