Job Summary:

Patient Access Representative is responsible for the intake and patient registration process. Conducts accurate patient interviews, schedules appointments, enters correct patient demographics, verifies third-party payers' information, accurately posts charges when applicable, calculates the amounts due from the patient based on FPL at POS, and balances and deposits daily collections. Performing these duties accurately and efficiently is critical to optimizing hospital revenue. Performs multi-task clinic duties to ensure efficiency in daily operations. All duties are performed in accordance with regulatory guidelines and Grady Health System's vision, mission, philosophy, policies, and procedures, with a focus on excellence in customer service.

Job Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Preferred: A minimum of two (2) years of college
  • One (1) or more years of customer service experience required
  • Experience in patient access, billing, cash collections, insurance, appointment scheduling, or related experience preferred
  • Ability to accurately type 30-35 WPM and knowledge of basic computer software (e.g., Word and Excel) required
  • CPAR Certification preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Knowledge of Siemens INVISION/OAS Gold system or EPIC system preferred
