Job summary

Astera Health in Minnesota is seeking a full-time Patient Access/Front Desk Specialist to join our Wadena clinic, with occasional travel to satellite clinics as needed. You will welcome patients, gather demographics, and assist with the registration process.

You will schedule appointments, operate the telephone system, collect payments, and support daily operations. This role emphasizes confidentiality, accuracy, and superior customer service for patients of all ages.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors, determine needs, and assist them in a caring, professional manner.
• Enter demographic and financial information into the electronic health record to complete registration.
• Schedule clinic appointments and maintain provider calendars.
• Floats to other patient access locations as needed to cover staffing.
• Operate telephone console and direct calls appropriately.
• Process payments, print receipts, and reconcile daily cash drawer.
• Open and close the clinic for daily operations.

This position is full-time: 80 hours per pay period, Monday - Friday. This position would primarily be located at our Wadena clinic, with the the occasional travel to the satellite clinics based on staffing needs.
