Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Support Representative for Outpatient Rehab in Lincolnshire, IL. This per diem role supports pre-certifications, benefits verification, and referrals, with rotating shifts and varying start times.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred associate degree in healthcare or business. 1–2 years of healthcare registration or scheduling experience is desirable, along with strong data entry and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in business or healthcare preferred.
• Experience: 1-2 years of healthcare registration, scheduling, or customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of health insurance, medical terminology, and anatomy preferred.
• Strong data entry, keyboarding, and Microsoft Office skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and analyzes patient demographics and consults with representatives, providers, and insurance carriers to verify benefits, determine eligibility, obtain pre-certifications, and support timely reimbursement.
• Performs pre-certification notification and completes required documentation for submission to insurance carriers per payer requirements.
• Researches pre-certification denials including missing authorization or referral documentation.
• Confirms referral requirements for individual plans and works with referring physician offices to obtain referrals for scheduled services.
• Utilizes the EMR task-based work queue to maintain productivity metrics in Rehab Services.
