Job summary

ECU Health Medical Center in North Carolina seeks a Part-time Registration/Billing Clerk to create the first impression for patients and families. You will schedule, register, verify insurance, collect demographics and secure authorizations for procedures.

The role requires 1–2 years of registration/billing experience, strong communication, and EPIC experience preferred. Schedule is 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, 20 hours weekly with benefits and alternating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Registration and/or Billing experience in healthcare required.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and attention to detail.
• Experience with insurance verification required.
• EPIC and MS Office familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, register, and verify patient information for outpatient and inpatient services.
• Verify insurance and collect demographics; secure procedure authorizations.
• Serve as primary liaison for patients and ECU Health staff.
• Coordinate with care teams to ensure smooth patient flow.
