Job summary

St. Peter's Health Partners seeks a part-time Representative I in Patient Access to register patients and verify insurance. You will handle outpatient and inpatient processes, collect payments, and help ensure eligibility and compliance with payer requirements.

This role supports a rotating shift and requires strong customer service skills. Ideal candidates have at least one year of customer service experience, familiarity with medical terminology, and knowledge of insurance verification.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of customer service experience.
• HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA certification within one year of hire.
• Medical terminology knowledge is preferred.
• Knowledge of diagnostic & procedural coding is desirable.
• Insurance verification with ability to explain benefits and obtain authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient-focused customer service and performs outpatient and/or inpatient registration and insurance verification.
• Collects patient financial liabilities and ensures adherence to payer requirements and Medicare/financial policies.
• Distributes analytical reports and supports performance improvement activities as needed.
