Job summary

Qualifications

• Typing and data entry skills required.
• Six to twelve months of third party billing or hospital registration experience.
• Ability to sit for long periods and lift up to 10 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Interview and register patients and enter data into the hospital information system.
• Verify demographic and insurance information and obtain referrals as required.
• Collect co-pays and process payments per policy.
• Explain forms to patients and obtain signatures as required.
• Coordinate with Patient Financial Advocates for complex cases.
