Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Patient Access Representative in the Enterprise Revenue Cycle at Lutheran General, IL, to greet and register patients, verify demographics and insurance, and collect co-pays in a fast-paced setting.

Proficiency with EPIC EMR and insurance tools is preferred. You will explain coverage to patients, coordinate with Financial Advocates, and uphold HIPAA confidentiality while delivering high-quality service.

Responsibilities

• Create the initial electronic health record for patients.
• Verify demographics, guarantor and insurance info at check-in.
• Collect co-pays and patient responsibilities.
• Explain insurance coverage and financial obligations to patients.
• Refer patients to Financial Advocates when needed.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant confidentiality.
