Job summary

Conifer Health Solutions, LLC is seeking a Patient Access Representative in Summerville, SC to support departmental efficiencies through scheduling, registration, pre-admission and admission tasks.

You will obtain accurate patient demographics, educate on financial liabilities, verify insurance and authorizations, and assist with discharge planning while ensuring compliance with hospital standards and patient service excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 year in a customer service role desired.
• 0-1 year administrative experience in medical facility/health insurance preferred.
• Some college coursework is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and complete full registration at date of service.
• Explain and secure hospital & patient forms; scan PHI.
• Schedule diagnostic procedures and provide appointment instructions.
• Educate patients on financial liabilities and collect payments.
• Verify insurance, benefits, coverage & eligibility; obtain authorizations; notify payors for inpatient visits.
