Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with GED.
• Positive interpersonal relationship skills required.
• Complete Medical Terminology Course within 6 months of hire.
• Computer literacy required, including the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and other office products
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent customer services skills, ability to independently problem-solve, and perform basic mathematical calculations
• Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct professional patient interviews to collect demographic, financial, and biographical information.
• Obtain information to bill payers, verify insurance eligibility, and confirm benefits.
• Collect point-of-service payments and determine medical necessity.
• Gather statistics in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Perform registration duties throughout the facility as needed.
