Day Kimball Health in Putnam, CT is seeking a Patient Access Representative for the Patient Accounts Department. This role focuses on obtaining and verifying patient demographic and insurance information, and explaining hospital policies regarding patient care and collection practices.

The position supports front-end revenue cycle management, requires knowledge of insurance and medical terminology, and offers opportunities for growth within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years of customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Register patients for Emergency, Scheduled Outpatient and Inpatient procedures to support front-end revenue cycle management.
• Greet patients or representatives as the liaison for patient services and access.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements for state, federal, and commercial payors.
• Assist with ABN and co-payment collection practices.
