Day Kimball Health in Putnam, CT is seeking a Patient Access Supervisor for the Patient Accounts Department. This role directs workflow, oversees a 20–25 member staff across three shifts, and manages the registration process for hospital services.

Qualifications

• Five years of supervisory experience in a hospital environment within Patient Access or Patient Accounts.
• Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology is preferred.
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Directs and delegates workflow in managing the front-end of the revenue cycle.
• Directly supervises a staff of 20-25 on an ongoing basis.
• Serves as a resource to Patient Access staff and provides cross coverage.
• Performs registration duties and updates policies and procedures as necessary.
• Assists with payroll and monthly work schedules in accordance with budget to ensure adequate staffing and minimize overtime; reports labor variances.
• Follows up on patient concerns promptly.
• Implements AIDET communication framework and promotes excellent customer service.
