Qualifications

• High School/GED or 1–3 months related training/experience required.
• Experience operating a PC and using software applications.
• One year of related experience in a medical, financial services, or customer-service setting preferred.
• Medical terminology and insurance knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduling, registration, and admitting functions at bedside.
• Validates patient demographics and insurance information via payor contacts and verification systems.
• Collects data to ensure timely bill submission including workers' comp and motor vehicle claims.
• Identifies patient financial responsibilities and processes estimates and payments.
• Delivers a positive patient experience and maintains confidentiality.
