Job summary

Tenet Healthcare is seeking a Patient Access representative to support scheduling, registration, pre-admission and admission processes in a hospital setting. You will gather complete patient demographics, explain forms, and secure consent while maintaining compliance and patient privacy.

You will educate patients on financial liabilities, collect payments per policy, verify insurance, obtain authorizations, and assist with post-discharge planning.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–1 year in a Customer Service role.
• 0–1 year administrative experience in medical facility, health insurance, or related area preferred.
• Some college coursework is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and perform full registration at date of service, explain and secure hospital and patient forms, scan PHI, and assist with scheduling procedures.
• Educate patients about financial liabilities and collect payments per policy.
• Verify insurance, obtain authorizations, and coordinate post-discharge care as needed.
